Dog Food Container Size Calculator
Multiply your dog's daily food amount by 30 and you get the weight a month's supply needs to fit — that's the number to match against a storage container's own weight rating. Enter the daily amount below (weigh a day's portion on a kitchen scale, or check the feeding guidelines printed on your food bag).

Why this stops at pounds, not quarts
Storage containers are commonly rated by the weight of dry food they hold, so pounds is a spec you can check directly. Converting to volume (quarts or liters) would need a kibble density figure, and dry food density varies enough by kibble size and shape that no single oz-per-quart number holds reliably across brands — so this tool doesn't guess one. If a container you're considering is rated in quarts instead of pounds, check its own listing for a weight equivalent rather than assuming a conversion.
A container rated by weight
An airtight bin keeps kibble fresh and away from pests for the amount this calculator just gave you; it comes in several weight ratings.
