Dog Harness Size Converter
Some harness sizes convert to another brand cleanly. Others can't be converted at all, because the two brands measure different things: chest girth, body weight, or both. Pick the brand and size your dog already wears below to see which other brands actually correspond, and which ones don't.

Why some brands can't convert
A harness sized by chest girth (Ruffwear) and one sized by weight (Help 'Em Up, PetSafe CareLift) aren't measuring the same thing — a girth number can't be turned into a weight number without your dog's actual weight, and vice versa. Walkabout sizes by abdomen and upper-thigh circumference, which none of the other seven brands publish at all, so it never converts into anything else here. GingerLead publishes no numeric bands whatsoever — its own fitting method is a fabric "towel test," not a chart. When two brands do share a measurement, we still only call it a match if one brand's whole band sits inside the other's; if the bands only partly overlap, that's flagged as "overlaps but doesn't match," because your dog could be in the piece that doesn't line up.
